    I tried and tried to overlook the fallacious history in this book as it was minor in many parts (which is to be expected) but the bad history was just too much and too far gone after a while. I finally gave up. This book is poorly researched and some details are so distorted that I can hardly believe it. Particularly once you get into the crusades, which I've read about extensively for years, so I have some idea of what bad history is on the subject. Once an author exhibits that kind of error you can no longer trust anything else in the book so I decided not bother.
